1 Unlock fuel return line (1) on fuel fill level sensor and disconnect.
Collect escaping fuel.
2 Remove O-ring on plug for fuel return line (1).
3 Extend fuel return line (1) using a transparent fuel line (2) and lead the transparent fuel line (2) into a suitable measuring container (3).
The measuring container (3) should have a capacity of 4 to 5 liters and be calibrated.
4 Perform measurement by starting the engine, letting it run and catching fuel in the measuring container (3).
Stop the engine at an idle speed of 560 rpm after
1 minute or at the limit speed of 2080 rpm after 30 seconds.
A slight amount of gas cavities in the returning fuel is normal.
5 Read off fuel contents on the measuring scale in the measuring container (3) or calculate the amount.
6 Remove transparent fuel line (2).
7 Replace O-ring on fuel fill level sensor and attach fuel return line (1).
