Remove/install

1

Connect vehicle diagnosis system and carry out initial startup of the diesel injection system control unit (1).

When replacing the diesel injection system control unit (1).



Disconnect ground line from battery.

Remove engine cover.

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (2).

Remove screw/bolts (3).

 Screw, diesel injection system control unit to air filter housing

Remove diesel injection system control unit (1).



Check

7

Check seal (4) for damage.

If damage is identified,



Install new seal (4).

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform an engine test run and check the engine for proper function.
