Remove cover (1) of fuse and relay box (4)

Unlock and unplug connectors (2).

Release ratchet (3) and remove ME control unit (N3/10) from the fuse and relay box (4)

Install

Insert ME control unit (N3/10) in the fuse and relay box (4) and press down until the ratchet (3) locks

Plug in electrical connectors (2) and lock

Fit cover (1) of fuse and relay box (4)

Inspect rubber seal in cover (1), replace if necessary. The cover (1) must seat in the rear of the groove.

Transfer basic data from STAR DIAGNOSIS to the ME control unit (N3/10)

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Run the ME control unit (N3/10) with STAR DIAGNOSIS

Only when replacing ME control unit (N3/10)

After replacing the ME control unit (N3/10), the ME control unit (N3/10) must be adapted to the vehicle using STAR DIAGNOSIS in the menu item "initial startup".

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
