Open engine hood

Remove upper engine cover

Release and disconnect electrical connector from electric line (2)

Unclip electric line (2) on bracket (4)

Unclip electric line (2) from retaining clips (3, 5)

Unscrew temperature sensor upstream of exhaust gas turbocharger (B19/11), remove and take out

 Temperature sensor to exhaust manifold

Coat thread of temperature sensor upstream of exhaust gas turbocharger (B19/11) with heat-resistant lubricating paste

When installing.

Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20

Install in the reverse order



 Warning

Risk of burn injuries, suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.

Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.
