If a fuel line is opened, this must be completely replaced otherwise leakage can occur



Thoroughly clean area surrounding fuel line to be opened so that no dirt finds its way into the injection system since failure will occur otherwise



The ground line on the battery must always be detached before beginning work on the fuel system otherwise pressure will be lost in the fuel system through opening a vehicle door or the trunk lid



Disconnect right connector (R), unclip ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) from control unit brackets and lay with attached lines to one side

Remove right control unit bracket (1a)



Disconnect electrical connector and remove feed duct from cylinder head cover

See Remove/install CGI pressure regulator valve.

Detach fuel lines from fuel distributor (25)

 Installation: Screw on fuel lines loosely. Only finally tighten fuel lines after tight seating of the fuel distributor (25).

Remove bolts (2) and fuel distributor (25)



Remove holder (25a) and pressure regulator valve (Y74) from fuel distributor (25)

When replacing fuel distributor (25).



Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
