Remove/install

Remove valve stem seals (5).

Close the compressed air valve on the assembly device(01) and let compressed air out of the assembly device(01).

Remove cylinder head (1) from assembly device (01).

Remove the valves(6).

General information on checking valves, valve seats and valve guides

Check

5

Check valve stems for formation of burrs and pitting.

If ridging is present on the valve stems,



Deburr valve stem.

If pitting is present on the valve stems,



Replace valves (6)

Check the valve seats for pitting and cracks.

If pitting or cracks are present at the valve seats,



replace cylinder head (1).

Install in the reverse order.
