Machine a groove with 2 to 3 mm of depth (Y) in the seat bore (1).
Make sure that the cutting tool does not touch the head.

Fit the extractor (2) for the intake or exhaust seat on the groove and remove the seat using the counter-support (3).
Protect the head surface (arrows) with soft material (e.g., aluminum) under the counter-support claws.
