1 Place dial gage holder (2) onto the crankcase.

2 Position dial gage (3) so that the tracer pin is touching the camshaft sprocket (1) and the dial gage has a pre-load.

3 Push camshaft sprocket (1) in direction of flywheel (arrow).

4 Set scale of dial gage to '0'.

5 Push camshaft sprocket (1) in direction of crankcase (arrow) and read off measurement for axial play.
