With an appropriate measurer, check the hardness of the necks and the camshaft: A = Cams for the intake valve B = Cams for the injection units C = Camshaft necks E = Cams for the exhaust valves

Measure the necks diameter (C).

Support the camshaft by the external necks.

With the indicator (1), check the radial run-out (eccentricity) in the cams basic circles to the intake valves “A”, exhaust valves “E” and the necks “B”.

With the indicator (1), check the uprising, above the basic circle, the cams recesses to the intake valves “A” and exhaust valves “E” and for the injection unit "B".
