Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Remove timing case cover

Remove oil pan

Secure pressure rail (1) of chain tensioner (2), as shown in figure, using cable tie (3)

Remove chain tensioner (2)

 For this purpose, remove bolts (4).



Install

Swivel catch (5) in direction of arrow, press in pressure rail (1) up to end stop and re-tighten cable tie (3)

Where chain tensioner (2) is reused.

Install chain tensioner (2)

 Screw in screw/bolts (4) to do this.

 Screw/bolt, balance shaft chain tensioner to crankcase

Cut cable tie (3) using suitable tool

Where chain tensioner (2) is reused.

Remove locking pin of chain tensioner (2)

When installing a new chain tensioner (2).
