1 Insert pressure pin (1) into the pressure screw (2) and tighten the union nuts (3).
2 Screw the pressure pin (2) into the guide sleeve (4).
The pressure pin (1) must not project into beveled tapered area of guide sleeve (4).
3 Screw the guide sleeve (4) into the chain separating
tool (5) .

4 Cover timing case recess and cylinder head with shop towels.
Parts, which have fallen into timing case recess or the cylinder head must be removed in order to avoid damage to engine.
5 Fit the chain separating tool (5) onto the timing chain.
6 Screw guide sleeve (4) into chain separating tool (5) until openings of guide sleeve (4) and guide (5a) surround timing chain bolts (6a).
7 Press pressure screw (2) into guide sleeve (4) and press out timing chain bolt (6a).

8 Remove timing chain bolts (6a) from the guide (5a).
9 Unscrew pressure pin (2) from guide sleeve (4) and remove chain separating tool (5) .
