Unscrew the end piece (1) with sealing ring (5) at the removed chain tensioner.
Remove the filler pin (7) and the push spring (8) from the chain tensioner housing (14).
Press the thrust pin (10) with detent spring (9) out of the chain tensioner housing (14) to the front.
When the chain tensioner is detached, the thrust pin (10) is pushed forward by the force of the compression spring (8). The detent spring (9) prevents the thrust pin (10) from being pushed back again into its initial position when the chain tensioner is installed.
Push in the thrust pin (10) with detent spring (9) from the rear forwards and flush with the chain tensioner housing (14).

Coat the new sealing ring (5) with a little grease so that it is off center when installed, (oil leakage) and attach to end piece (1).
Screw end piece (1) with a new sealing ring (5) into the chain tensioner housing (14) and tighten with the torque.
