1 Connect new timing chain (2) and old timing chain (1) with the assembly link (3.1), the assembly outer plate (3.2) and the assembly locking element (3.3).

2 Slowly rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation of engine (arrow) until it is possible to connect the ends of the new timing chain (2).
Pull out the end of the old timing chain (1) evenly as it becomes free, to the same extent as the new timing chain (2) is drawn in (arrow).

3 Take off assembly locking element (3.3), assembly outer plate (3.2) and assembly link (3.1). Place old timing chain (1) to the side.
