Check valve clearance compensating elements (2).

Remove/install

Remove camshafts.

Installation: Reinstall top engine cover only after the leak tightness and function test.

Mark assembly position of all roller-type rocker arms (1).

If the roller-type rocker arms (1) are reused with the valve clearance compensating elements (2).


When reusing the roller-type rocker arms (1) and valve clearance compensation elements (2), install them in the same position as previously.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.

Remove roller-type rocker arms (1) with the valve clearance compensating elements (2).

Specified engine oils (service) - Overview

Installation: Wet roller-type rocker arms (1) and valve clearance compensating elements (2) with engine oil.

Remove clamp (3) by hand and remove valve clearance compensating element (2) from the respective roller-type rocker arm (1).

Install in the reverse order.
