Disassemble

1

Remove exhaust rocker arm assembly.

Remove locating tool (1) from exhaust rocker arm assembly.

 Do not change setting of the locking pin (2) at the  locating tool (1).

Mark installation position of the exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), engine brake rocker arms (6), and spacer rings (7).

Remove exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), engine brake rocker arms (6), and spacer rings (7) from the rocker arm spindle (3).



Check

Check exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), spacer rings (7), engine brake rocker arms (6), and rocker arm spindle (3) for wear and damage.

If wear or damage can be detected,



Replace affected parts.



Assemble

Clean oil holes (C) of the rocker arm spindle (3) with compressed air.

Wet bearing points and rocker arm spindle (3) with engine oil.

Attach exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), engine brake rocker arms (6), and spacer rings (7) to the rocker arm spindle (3).

 Observe the attached and installation position of the exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), engine brake rocker arms (6), and spacer rings (7).
Observe marking "TOP, FRONT" (A) and marking "TOP, REAR" (B) on the rocker arm spindle (3).

Align exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), engine brake rocker arms (6), and spacer rings (7) with the rocker arm spindle (3).

 Do not loosen locking pins (2) on the  locating tool (1).
The alignment of the exhaust rocker arms (4), exhaust rocker arms with hydro element (5), engine brake rocker arms (6), and spacer rings (7) takes place according to the locking pins (2) on the  locating tool (1).

Attach locating tool (1) to the exhaust rocker arm assembly.

Install exhaust rocker arm assembly.
