Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing engine oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Place balance shafts in basic position

1.1

If the balance shaft housing (1) has been removed.
Twist the (5) balance shaft until the bores (4) are flush.


The weights (2) of the balancing shafts (5) must point downwards towards the oil pan.

If the balance shaft housing (1) has been installed.
Crank the engine until the bores (4) are flush with each other.


The weights (2) of the balancing shafts (5) must point downwards towards the oil pan.

Insert a suitable tool through the bores (4) of the balance shafts (5).
