Remove

Remove flywheel/driven plate (1)

Remove crankshaft Hall sensor

Remove pulse ring (2)

Clean crankcase (3) and oil pan (4) in area of end cover (5)

Assembly cleaner

Remove screw/bolts (5a)

Place tool on the side cutouts of the end cover (5) and unfasten the end cover (5) from crankcase (3)


To loosen the end cover (5) do not stamp in any tooling between the end cover (5) and crankcase (3).
The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.

 Heat end cover (5) in area of the sealing surfaces if necessary using a heat gun.

Replace end cover (5) with radial shaft sealing ring (6)

 The end cover (5) and radial shaft sealing ring (6) form a unit and can only be replaced together.



Install

Install new end cover (5) with a new radial shaft sealing ring (6)

Check engine oil level and correct


