Remove vibration damper (3)

Use suitable tool to pry radial shaft sealing ring (5) out of timing case cover


Do not damage crankshaft (1) and timing case cover; use a clean rag as a base to press out .
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Check contact surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (5) on the hub of the vibration damper (3) for score marks and galling

In a case of scorch marks and galling

Replace vibration damper (3).

Install

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (5)
