Remove/install

Remove timing case.

Turn crankshaft (2) until the markings (arrows) of the crankshaft gear (1) and camshaft sprocket (5) coincide.

Screw centering drift (4) into two opposing threaded holes on the crankshaft (2) and turn the crankshaft (2) using a suitable lever.

Pull crankshaft gear (1) off the crankshaft (2).

Installation: Markings (arrows) on crankshaft gear (1) and camshaft sprocket (5) must be positioned opposite each other.

Check dowel pin (3) for wear.

If wear is present,

replace dowel pin (3).

Install in the reverse order

Remove/install crankshaft sprocket
