Remove

Remove oil filter element.

Only in case of extreme wear or damage to the engine components.



Check lamellae of the oil filter element for metal abrasion and swelling.



Replace

Replace the heat exchanger.

Only if there is metal abrasion on the oil filter element segments or in the oil circuit.

Remove oil pump, check for wear and damage.

Only if extreme metal abrasion was found in the oil filter element.

If metal abrasion is present in the oil pump,



Replace oil pump.

Replace engine oil.

Only in the event of metal abrasion or a swollen oil filter element (coolant in the oil circuit) or if necessary.
