1 Measure the main bearing neck width (A) of the crankshaft (1) and attribute the thrust washers according to the main bearing neck width (A).
The indicated measurements must be met.Thrust washers are supplied from the factory ready do be used in over-measurements.

2 Grease the thrust washers (2) and fit them in the fixed bearing cover grooves (adjustment main bearing) (3).
Only thrust washers (2) of equal thickness can be assembled. The two lubrication grooves (arrows) in the thrust washers (2) must be turned to the crankshaft faces.

3 Install the fixed bearing cover (main bearing) (3).
Lubricate the fixed bearing bolts and tighten tem with the prescribed torque.
The bearing cover (main bearing) (3) is laterally displaced from the engine block center and identified with numbers (arrow).
4 Turn the crankshaft with the hand and check the free operation.

5 Assemble the dial indicator bracket (4) and the dial indicator (5) with pretension in the engine block.
6 Move the crankshaft (1) from one stopper to another (arrows) and read the measurement values (axial play) in the dial indicator (5).
The axial play can not exceed the indicated value.
