Remove lower engine compartment paneling.

Drain engine oil.



Remove front diagonal strut.

Remove/install front diagonal strut

Release and disconnect electrical connector (4).

Remove screws (2) in reverse order to tightening procedure.

Remove oil pan bottom section (1).

 Installation: Replace molded seal.

Remove oil level check switch (3).

When replacing the bottom part of the oil pan (1).

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces on the oil pan top section and oil pan bottom section (1) with a lint-free cloth.

Loctite 7200

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install in the reverse order.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leak tightness and leak tightness.

Install lower engine compartment lining.
