Align oil pan (10) to the rear contact surface on the transmission. If the oil pan is not aligned to the transmission, this can result in noise and vibration problems.
| |||
17 | Remove oil pan (10) together with oil pan gasket (11) | Take out oil pan to the front in direction of travel; rotate crankshaft slightly, if necessary, during this step. If automatic transmission fitted, press ATF pipes (17) slightly to the side. Clean contact surfaces of the oil pan. Replace oil pan gasket (11).
Installation: fix oil pan gasket (10) to crankcase with sealant if necessary. If the oil pan is replaced, attach oil level sensor with self-tapping screws.
