Remove underride guard (1)

Release castle nut (2) of drag link at pitman arm and unscrew



 Installation:

Replace cotter pin

Pull off drag link (3)

Unbolt transverse control arm (4) at frame

Detach ATF lines of automatic transmission on left and right

Detach ATF cooler (5)

Unscrew bolts of oil pan (a, b)

 Pay attention to different lengths and diameters of bolts

Remove oil pan (6) together with oil pan gasket (7)

 Take oil pan out to the front in direction of travel.

Push the ATF lines slightly to the side.

 Installation: Clean separating surfaces of oil pan.

Install new oil pan gasket.

Fix gasket of oil pan (7) to crankcase with sealant if necessary.

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check for leaks with engine running

Read/erase fault memory.

Stored faults possibly caused by previous simulation or by cables disconnected in the process of installation or testing must be processed and erased in the DTC memories once all work is completed.
