Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Drain engine oil, catch if necessary



Remove carrier for 2nd A/C compressor

Disconnect electrical connection (3) from engine oil sensor (B40 or B40/8)

Remove screws (2)

 Oil pan bottom section to oil pan top section

Pry off oil pan bottom section (1) in the area of the cutouts (arrow)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces of oil pan and oil pan bottom section (1) and apply sealant.

Install in the reverse order

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
