1 Mark installation position of cylinder liner relative to crankcase (arrow).

2 Screw both stud bolts (1, 2) of removal and insertion device (3) into opposite threaded holes of the cylinder head bolts of crankcase.
3 Insert removal and insertion device (3) sufficiently far into the cylinder liner (4) until the claws are able to grip below the lowest edge of the cylinder liner.
When doing this, spread claws of removal and insertion device (3) sufficiently far apart by turning the spindle until they are firmly positioned at the lower edge of the cylinder liner. When turning the spindle, counter-hold at the claws.

4 Fit counter-support (2) over the spindle (1) onto the stud bolts (3) and screw tight.
5 Pull out cylinder liner (4) about 50 mm by turning the hexagon nut.
Counter-hold the spindle when turning the hexagon nut.

6 Release claws of removal and insertion device sufficiently by turning the spindle (1) until these lift off from the lower edge of the cylinder liner.
Counter-hold at the claws (arrow) when turning the spindle (1).
7 Unbolt counter-support (2) and take off together with removal and insertion device .

8 Unscrew stud bolts (1).
9 Take cylinder liner (2) out of the crankcase.

10 Take sealing rings (1) off cylinder liner (2) and out of crankcase.
11 Clean liner, liner collar, bore in crankcase, liner seat support in crankcase and grooves for O-rings.
