1 Switch on solenoid of turning tool (switch position '1').
2 Pull up quick-adjusting ring (1) and push cutting tool (2) through far enough until the tip is positioned above the liner collar seat to be machined.
The cutting tool must not touch the side wall.
3 Turn drive crank (3) and infeed nut (4) at the same time in clockwise direction until the cutting tool makes contact with the liner collar seat (arrow).

4 Slacken hexagon socket head screw (9) for the vernier adjustment.
5 Set vernier ring to '0' (arrow) and tighten hexagon socket head screw (9).

6 Pull up quick-adjusting ring (1) and push back cutting tool (2) until just before liner collar seat (arrow).
7 Set desired stock removal with the infeed nut (4).
Set the infeed in steps each not more than 0.05 mm.
One graduation line on vernier = 0.01 mm.

8 Turn drive crank (3) even in clockwise direction and at the same time hold face infeed ring (5) tight.
The infeed nut (4) must not move.
9 Turn drive crank (3) sufficiently until the cutting tool reaches the outer diameter of the liner collar seat.
The cutting tool is ground in such a way that the desired diameter cannot be exceeded. The face end of the cutting tool makes contact with the outer diameter of the cylinder bore.
If the turning operation is stiff:
- Release face infeed ring (5) and turn drive crank (3) further several times.
If it is necessary to re-grind the cutting tool:
- Re-grind only as shown in the drawing enclosed with the turning tool.

10 Pull up quick-adjusting ring (1) and push back cutting tool (2) into initial position, until just before the liner collar seat (arrow).
11 Repeat steps 7 - 10 until the desired collar seat depth is achieved.
