Open vehicle door of driver-side via the lock cylinder

Open front hood, clip on battery ground line

Increase tire pressure to 3 bar

 This helps to prevent flattening of the tires while the vehicle is standing.

Check vehicle interior for leaks and let in some air

 Carry out visual inspection.

Check instrument panel and seat covers for fading

Check condition of battery

 The STAR diagnosis tester does not have to be connected.

Use battery tester 450 589 15 21 00.

 Battery OK.

 Charge battery.

Check coolant for corrosion or antifreeze, correct if necessary

Check brake fluid for correct water content, replace if necessary

 Use brake fluid tester 452 589 00 21 00.

Check outside surfaces of vehicle for aggressive contamination, e.g., bird droppings, clean if necessary

Check engine compartment and wheelhouses for damage (e.g., damage caused by martens, animal nests)

Conduct a road test

 Switch on air conditioning (special equipment) for at least 5 min.

 Apply brakes to free brake disks from corrosion.

Open front hood, close vehicle doors, and lock with remote control key

13 

Disconnect ground cable from battery

 Discharge of battery by quiescent current consumers (clock etc.) is prevented.
