Drive vehicle to level surface

 To check the headlamp adjustment, the vehicle must be ready for operation:

 Unloaded

 Fuel tank filled (if necessary, compensate for missing fuel by means of additional weight)

 Driver seat loaded with 75 kg

 Headlamp range controller at basic position

Align headlamp aimer with vehicle and check headlamp aimer adjustment as per the specifications on the vehicle model plate, adjust if necessary

 The operating instructions of the headlamp aimer should be followed exactly.

Check adjustment of main headlamps (1); if necessary, correct by means of turning the adjustment screws (1.1, 1.2)

 For height adjustment the
light-dark boundary must be congruent with the separation line (4) of the headlamp aimer. For side adjustment the kink line (5) must start below the central marking (6) on the separation line (4).

Check high beam adjustment

 The center of the light beam must be on the central marking (6). If this is not the case, check the position of the lamp bulb.

Check adjustment of additional headlamps (2), loosen screws (2.1) if necessary, correct adjustment and retighten screws (2.1)

 Only carry out adjustment of additional headlamps (2) if heavy ancillary equipment or body units have been installed. Otherwise, a faulty adjustment may cause oncoming traffic to be dazzled when driving.

 At a distance (A) of 15 m before the additional headlamps (2), the height of the light area (B) for the low beams may only be half the height of the headlamp center (H).

Adjusting height example:

Height of headlamp center (H) = 2.00 m

Height of light area (B) at 15 m = 1.00 m

Height of light area (B) at 5 m = approx. 1.67 m
