A Engine oil level pilot lamp

B Battery charge pilot lamp

C Air pressure in the brake system reservoir pilot lamp

D Engine electronic management system pilot lamp (PLD) - only vehicles with electronic engine

Instruments cluster self-diagnosis

Every time that the ignition key is turned to the ON position, the instruments cluster performs a self-diagnosis function, which checks its components conditions, as described below

Hazard warning pilot lamps

The hazard warning pilot lamps, when available in the vehicle, must act as follows:

If the respective systems are operating correctly, the engine oil level (A), the battery charge (B) and the air pressure in the brakes systems reservoirs (C) pilot lamps must go off as the engine starts running.

When turning the ignition key in the starter switch to the ON position, the pilot lamp (D) of the engine management system (PLD) must light briefly to prove its operation and then go off. If the pilot lamp (D) remains lit, it will be an indication of failure in some of the engine systems electronically controlled.

Also check the other functional and warning pilot lamps operation by actuating their respective systems.
