1.1 | Bleed compressed air drier by filling up the compressed-air system. | Fill compressed-air system up to the cut off point of the pressure regulator. | |
1.2 | Bleed the compressed air drier by releasing the compressed air | Loosen line at connection "1" of the compressed air drier, release compressed air, tighten the line again. | |
2 | Loosen the granulate cartridge (1) using the Universal strap wrench and unscrew | Due to the oil residues deposited the granulate cartridges which have been removed are to be handled like special wastes and like oil filters. | |

3 | Remove rubber sealing ring (2) on the threaded spigot | No sealing ring is installed on the compressed air drier of the electrical air compressor system for the parking brake. | |

4 | Grease new rubber sealing ring (2) slightly and pull on. | ||
5 | Grease seal (arrow) of new granulate cartridge as well as threaded spigot lightly. | ||
6 | Screw on granulate cartridge (1) by hand until the sealing ring abuts the housing then tighten with a further half turn. | ||
7 | Ventilate compressed air drier and check for leaks | Testing is only possible up to the cut off point of the air governor | |
| Confirm replacement of the granulate cartridge in the maintenance booklet. |
