	Removing
1.1	Fill compressed-air system until pressure governor cuts off	 The compressed air drier is bled through filling the compressed-air system.
1.2	Bleed compressed air drier by releasing compressed air.	 Vehicles with electrical compressed-air system.
		 Loosen the line at connection "1" of the compressed air drier and release compressed air.
		 Installation: Tighten the line at connection "1" of the compressed air drier after releasing the compressed air.
2	Unscrew granulate cartridge (1).	Removed granulate cartridge (1) falls into the category of special waste due to the oil residues it contains, and must be treated the same as oil filters.

3	Take off seal (2)	 Only for vehicles without electrical compressed-air system.
	Install
4	Apply thin coating of grease to new sealing ring (2) and then pull on sealing ring	 Only for vehicles without electrical compressed-air system.	*BR00.45-Z-1014-06A
5	Slightly grease thread and seal (arrow) of the new granulate cartridge (1)		*BR00.45-Z-1014-06A
6.1	Screw up granulate cartridge (1) by hand and tighten to the specified torque	Model 668, 670 without electrical compressed-air system

6.2	Screw on the granulate cartridge (1) by hand until the sealing ring (arrow) lies flush against the housing, then tighten by rotating by another half a revolution	 Compressed air drier with electrical air compressor system.
	Checking
7	Check compressed air drier for leaks	 Vent compressed air drier, to do so switch on pressure regulator.
8	Confirm replacement of granulate cartridge (1) in maintenance booklet.
