Clean the area around the oil filler opening

Remove oil filler opening plug (1)



 The vehicle must be horizontal and the transmission must be at operating temperature for checking the oil level.
Collect any oil which runs out.

Checking

Check oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary.



 The oil level is correct when the oil reaches the bottom edge of the filler opening (arrow).

If there is a lack of oil, check the transmission for leaks and if necessary repair any leaks found (subject to separate repair order).

Screw in oil filler opening plug



 Clean oil filler plug and replace sealing ring.
