1 | Remove fuel tank paneling | ||
| Remove/install fuel tank paneling | ||
2 | Unscrew reservoir cap | The brake fluid reservoir is located behind the fuel filler flap on the left side of the vehicle. | |
3 | Extract old brake fluid using a syringe | | |
4 | Screw bleeding unit connector onto reservoir and connect pressure hose | For working pressure of bleeding unit, see operator's manual for bleeding unit. | |

5 | Detach lower engine compartment paneling | ||
| Remove and install bottom engine compartment paneling | ||
6 | Install drain hose of brake fluid receptacle on bleed valve (1) | Detach dust cap. | |
7 | Open bleed valve (1) | Keep the bleed valve (1) open until new brake fluid escapes free of bubbles at the drain hose. | |
8 | Close the bleed valve (1) | Detach drain hose and press on dust cap. | |
9 | Check lines, bleed valve (1), master cylinder and clutch booster (4) for leaks | The bleeding unit must be connected and under operating pressure | |
10 | Detach pressure hose from bleeding unit connector | Follow the operating instructions for the bleeding unit. | |
11 | Detach bleeding unit connector on reservoir | ||
12 | Correct the fluid level in the reservoir | ||
13 | Screw on cap | ||
14 | Check function of clutch | If the clutch only functions with difficulty or not at all, the bleeding process of the clutch control should be repeated. | |
15 | Install lower engine compartment paneling. | ||

16 | Install fuel tank paneling | ||
