Remove the oil drain plug (5) on the oil pan and drain the engine oil

 Change the engine oil only with the engine hot.

Vacuum the engine oil through the dipstick guide tube (6)

 Change the engine oil only with the engine hot. Follow the service instructions of the vacuum apparatus maker.

Screw-on the cover (1) and fill with engine oil

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine and while idling observe the oil pressure indication

 Crank the engine at maximum for 90 sec. Repeat the starting procedure after a pause of some 2 min. Do not run the engine at high revs while no oil pressure is indicated, otherwise engine damage may occur.

 See operational instructions.

 After approx. 10s. oil pressure must be displayed.

Stop the engine

Check the engine oil level with the oil dipstick (6), eventually correct

Check the tightness of the oil filter cover (2) and of the drain plug (5) on the oil pan
