Checking V-belt tension
1 Mount the measuring device in the center on the V-belt between two belt pulleys.
The stop (arrow) of the measuring instrument must contact the side of the V-belt and the indicator arm must be recessed in the measuring instrument.
2 Use the pushbutton to exert an even, vertical pressure on the top surface of the V-belt until the pushbutton can be clearly heard and felt to disengage.
In order to avoid measurement errors, only exert pressure on the pushbutton and do not press further after unlatching

3 Lift up the measuring instrument carefully without changing the position of the indicator arm.
4 Read off measurement at the intersection of the indicator arm and the KG scale (arrow).
If the measured value does not correspond to the specified adjustment value, the V-belt tension must be corrected. Inspect both V-belts of double-belt drive.
