Danger! | Risk of death caused by falling from vehicle roof. Risk of injury to other persons caused by falling objects during work in roof area. | ||
1 | Take off cover (1) | The cover (1) is fastened at the left rear on the roof using screws (2). | |
2 | Remove air filter element (3) | Remove bolt (5) to do this. | |
Installation: Mark the installation date of the new air filter element (3) using a water-resistant marker on the front or on a label. Ensure it is correctly seated on the sealing surfaces. | |||
3 | Clean interior and sealing surfaces of air filter housing | ||
4 | Replace seal (4) and rubber buffer (6) | Check hose clamp is in perfect condition, replace if necessary. | |
5 | Install in the reverse order | ||
6 | Actuate release on maintenance indicator | Only necessary, if the red field in the inspection glass on the maintenance indicator has latched into place. | |
7 | Confirm replacement of air filter insert (3) in the maintenance booklet |
