It is not necessary to adjust valve clearance, if the “checking values” are obtained, when performing the checking service. With a suitable wrench, loose counter nut (2) and adjust the clearance valve, working on set screw (1). Tighten the lock-nut (2) to fasten the adjustment bolt (1). Check valve clearance and adjust if necessary.. . . When adjusting valve clearance, use feeler gauge corresponding to the "adjustment values". Valve clearance will be correct when, after tightening the counter-nut (2), a slight resistance is noticed when moving the feeler gauge blade between the rocker arm and the valve stem.
