Blocking and activating immobilizer transponders with transponder WSP

The transponders (not the transmitter keys!) are deactivated and released using a menu-driven system in the HHT. Deactivated transponders can be released again at any time using the HHT.

Prerequisites:

HHT with latest HHT module,

Access to commercial vehicle FDOC and authorization for use of IMM functions (screen 1801).

The immobilizer data is stored in FDOC and can be called up on request. Authorization to access the immobilization data (screen 1801) via FDOC is restricted. The access authorization is stored in FDOC. Screen 1801, which is required for accessing the immobilizer data, is obtained using the vehicle identification number (VIN) or the engine number. Companies that do not have access to the relevant FDOC screen can request the information from the relevant domestic organization by fax. If the information is not available there, it can be requested directly from the central supply warehouse at Germersheim.

Any access to the immobilizer data using FDOC is documented, together with the name of the user. This means that the FDOC user can be identified at any time.

The following situations might occur:

Customer would like to teach-in another key.

Customer has lost a key. All keys must be disabled and the remaining ones must be re-taught.

The transponders are released in the same way in both cases. The difference is that in the latter case, all keys must be erased beforehand and then re-taught.

In both cases, approval must be obtained by the customer. The approval must be noted in the order document.

Transponder teach-in procedure:

Select the item for the required action after selecting menu item 5: "Teach-in transponder".

The rest of the procedure is the same in both cases:

Insert key to be taught into the ignition, turn ignition OFF, then turn ignition ON again.

The HHT will indicate whether or not it has detected the transponder. If not, the "No Temic transponder or not detected" message is displayed.

Reply to inquiry as to whether the transponder data should be read in for entry in FDOC with "YES".

The adjacent screen will appear on the HHT, displaying 5 values. These values must be read from the HHT and entered into FDOC screen 1801.

Then FDOC sends back an encrypted random number. This is entered on the HHT as follows: - press enter key,
- enter number,
- press enter key,
- press backspace key.

You will be asked whether the transponder is to be taught. Confirm required action.

When the teaching procedure is complete, it is confirmed by the "Teaching procedure successfully completed" message.

Now another transponder can be taught if required.
