General
The radio frequency remote control system consists of the RRC control module and a maximum of 8 remote control keys (keys with folding mechanism).
The vehicle can be locked and unlocked with the central locking system (CL) from any desired direction with the remote control key by folding the key in or out. If the vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft alarm (ATA) and a drive authorization system (DAS), these systems are also activated or deactivated. The remote control key range is approx. 10 m with new batteries.
Note
The LED in the remote control key serves to indicate the battery status.
When the key is folded in or out, the LED comes on momentarily. If it does not come on, it is time to replace the batteries.
