| Fault code | |
| Fault storage Activation of malfunction indicator lamp for engine diagnosis (EURO3/4) or CHECK ENGINE (MIL) | after the end of the test period and faults no activation of the malfunction indicator lamp |
| Frequency of the test | continuous |
| Checked signal or status | A front left vehicle speed signal B rear left vehicle speed signal |
| Fault setting conditions Test duration Plausibility Test duration | vehicle speed signals must be detected starting from approx. 12 km/h approx. 5 s starting from approx. 40 km/h it holds that: speed difference between front and rear must be less than 30 km/h approx. 30 s |
| Test prerequisites | - engine speed approx. 2500 - 4500 rpm - load > 40 % - driving stage D |
| | The wheel speeds are detected and evaluated by the ASR or ESP control module (for Model 463: ABS control module). The ME-SFI control module receives a vehicle speed signal via the CAN data bus. After fault identification (e.g. by driving on test bench) the ME-SFI and ASR or ME-SFI and ESP diagnostic trouble code memories (for Model 463: ME-SFI and ABS diagnostic trouble code memories) are read out. |
