Remove, empty and clean air cleaner lower part (1).

Clean filter element (2) with diesel fuel and thoroughly blow out with compressed air.

Check rubber seals, renew according to condition.

Note

Check air cleaner upper part for dirt accumulation, clean if required.

Fill the air cleaner lower part with engine oil up to the maximum mark.

Install air cleaner lower part with filter element installed. Ensure perfect seating on the sealing surfaces and adequate tension of the latches.

Vehicle model designations 309, 310 with engine 314: The flat area of the air cleaner lower part must face the frame side member.
