The Mercedes-Benz Download Manager is equipped with a start or stop, pause and cancel function. In such instances, follow the instructions in the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager.

The Mercedes-Benz Download Manager can be downloaded through the ODUS system |
2 | Run downloaded Mercedes-Benz Download Manager. |
After downloading, run the .exe file and choose the location in the dialog window shown, to which the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager should be saved on the computer from where it can then be used in future. |
The Mercedes-Benz Download Manager does not have to be installed and it can be run without any need for administrator rights. An active Internet connection is however required. |
It is advisable to use the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager on the XENTRY tab. |
Running and settings
3 | Double click on "Mercedes-Benz Download Manager.exe" to open it. |
The Mercedes-Benz Download Manager can be configured below the login screen using the "Settings" control panel. |
The use of a proxy server is also available as an option. Contact your IT administrator if you decide to use it. |
The vehicle identification number only required for activation of the travel and restaurant guides in Europe. |
Original Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card update
4 | Place Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card into computer. |
Make sure that the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card to be updated has already been used in the vehicle. |
5 | Log in using ODUS user account. |
The data content of the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card is now automatically checked through the active Internet connection. The left side of the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager contains information on any software or card update. |
6 | Download update. |
If a specific software or card update is available, click on the product tile on the left side of the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager. |
As soon as the update procedure has completed, a corresponding message is then shown in the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager. The product tile on the left-hand side is then updated. |
7 | Remove the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card from the computer. |
The Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card can be used in the vehicle. |
Activation of travel and restaurant guide SD-card
8 | Place Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card into computer. |
9 | Log in using ODUS user account. |
10 | File the vehicle identification number under "Settings". |
This activates the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card. |
This activation procedure can be performed once only. The activated Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card can only be used for the filed vehicle. |
11 | Click on product tile on left side of Mercedes-Benz Download Manager. |
In the details area on the right side of the Mercedes-Benz Download Manager, a prompt indicates that the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card can be activated. |
12 | Click on "Activate product". |
The activation procedure is completed after a few minutes. The left product tile is loaded again and displays an "Activated" status. |
13 | Remove the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card from the computer. |
The Garmin® MAP PILOT SD-card can be used in the vehicle. |
