Remove

Remove rear step plate from cab

This allows access from above to the top screws/bolts (2) on the bracket (1) on the inside of the frame.

Remove upper section of fender of leading axle

The following operation steps must be performed on both sides of the vehicles.

Detach shock absorber of leading axle from bracket (1)

Expose frame wiring harness in area of screws/bolts (2)

When doing so, remove as many cable ties as necessary to allow the frame wiring harness to be pushed to one side and the screws/bolts (2) to be counterheld when loosening and tightening.

Detach bracket (1) from frame

The screws/bolts (2) remain on the frame and are not replaced.
With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty systems.

Install

Attach new bracket (1) to frame using new nuts

Attach new cable ties to frame wiring harness

Attach shock absorber to new bracket (1) using new bolt and new nut
