Remove

Paint new plate to be installed (6) in frame color

Remove upper part of fender (2) and front part of fender (1) at leading axle on right and left

Remove step plate (3)

Remove step plate (5)

Expose left upper frame wiring harness (8) until the left bracket (4) can be removed

Remove holder (4) at left and right

7

Expose oil pressure lines (7) until the bolts on the left plate (6) can be unscrewed

 Collect escaping hydraulic fluid using suitable container. Seal all separated connecting points using stop plugs.

Remove holder (10) with compressed air reservoir (9) from crossmember (11)

Only for vehicles with code JE4W (Starting-off aid, speed limit 30 km/h)

 Do not remove compressed air line.
Place holder (10) with attached compressed-air reservoir (9) to one side.

Further expose left upper frame wiring harness (8) until the bolts on the left plate (6) can be unscrewed

Remove plate (6)

 With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty systems.



Install

Install new plate (6)

 Plate to bearing bracket for wishbone control arm

Route left upper frame wiring harness (8) in area above plate (6) back in its original as-built configuration, fasten and attach new cable ties

 Ensure that it cannot chafe.

Mount holder (10) with compressed air reservoir (9) onto crossmember (11)

Only for vehicles with code JE4W (Starting-off aid, speed limit 30 km/h)

Remove stop plugs and reattach oil pressure lines (7) at separated connecting points and brackets

 Union nut, oil pressure hose/line to fitting for additional steering axle valve unit

Install holder (4) at left and right

 Frame sections to frame

Route left upper frame wiring harness (8) in area behind plate (6) back in its original as-built configuration, fasten and attach new cable ties

 Ensure that it cannot chafe.

Paint newly installed bolts and nuts on outside of frame in frame color

Install upper part of fender (2) and front part of fender (1) at leading axle on right and left

Add power steering fluid to leading axle steering and bleed
