Remove shift control unit (1)

Remove console cover

The cover is clipped in the console with two metal clamps.

Drill Ø 4.5 mm hole (2) on shift control unit (1)

Crimp cable lug (3) to ground line (4)

Attach cable lug (3) to shift control unit (1) using bolt and nut

Install shift control unit (1)

Install console cover

Route ground line (4) along gear control (GS) wiring harness

Route ground line (4) so that it cannot be chafed and tie to gear control (GS) wiring harness using cable tie.

Cut ground line (4) to length and crimp cable lug (5) to ground line (4)

Cut ground line (4) to such a length that there is no pull on cable lug (5) when it is fastened to the bolt (6).

10

Fasten cable lug (5) to console using existing bolt (6)

Remove paint at the contact surface of the cable lug (5).
