Remove lower engine compartment paneling.

If installed.

Check coolant hose (1) for damage (arrow) and unobstructed movement.

Check dimension (a) using a feeler gauge (2).

If coolant hose (1) is damaged or dimension (a) is dropped below,

Replace coolant hose (1).

If coolant hose (1) and dimension (a) are OK,

end the measure.

Replace coolant hose

Drain coolant.

Replace coolant hose (1).


Protect poly-V-belt against any contact with coolant.
This avoids any damage to the poly-V-belt.

To do so, disconnect coupling and unfasten clamp.

Clean

Clean area surrounding coolant hose (1).

Pour in coolant

Pour in coolant.

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
