Modification notes
So as to ensure a faster action of the latch striker (100) and the related faster closing action, the power closing of the trunk lid has been replaced by a "power closing with fast release".
In the event of a complaint as well as spare part, only the new version with fast release will be available, which can also be converted or retrofitted.
Ensure that the black cable (pos. 5) at the retractable trunk lid handle (RTLG) is removed, shortened with the hose part and plugged in again on the triple distributor.
The short cable (pos. 4) connects the triple distributor with the RTLG.
With later use of the modified PL supply pump
Part no. 140 800 16 48 and
140 800 17 48 for model 140 Limousine and
140 800 18 48 for model 140 Coupe

the shorting plug 000 540 41 81 is no longer required.
Parts according to the "Parts Ordering Instructions" are required for conversion of retrofitting.
