Equipment built onto platform
Equipment such as damp salt spreaders must not be anchored to the anchoring lugs. In addition to the anchoring lugs the Unimog platform also contains four holes to which a device can be attached. The two recesses at the back end of the platform for device centering will be omitted as of April 2001!
The 4 standard holes for device attachment on the platform have a diameter of 17 mm as of April 2001(no longer 14 mm!).
The holes can be closed off for transporting bulk materials.

For spreader attachment we recommend front fit M16 DIN 582 ring nuts, each in combination with two reinforcement plates 80 mm x 80 mm x 5 mm (see drawing).
On platforms with code P33 (U300/400 long wheelbase) the front reinforcement plates must have the following dimensions: 60 mm x 80 mm x 5 mm!
The reinforcement plates must be shop-made or obtained from spreader manufacturers (e.g. SWK, St. Blasien).
For spreader attachment, rear, we recommend approved chains that are diagonally attached to the mounting points (code D50) using at least M16 ring nuts.

Usually, four catch bolts must be used for equipment that is fixed to the platform and cannot be tilted. The tipping cylinder changeover cock must be in the correct position!
Equipment structures must only be attached at these points.
