Service information: tachograph TVI 2416



As of October 2002 a new tachograph version of the TVI 2400 will be installed in addition to the already familiar tachographs.This version is designated TVI 2416.

This tachograph will be installed successively in various vehicle model series.

For checking the TVI 2416 in the field organizations the following parts are required:

 an "adapter 2"

 TCO program as of version 1.20

 Manual as of version 1.16

 a special ESD/EMV-optimized ribbon cable

 It is necessary to replace the previous ribbon cable for the pilot users.Pilot users: Please contact

Presently there are three possibilities to determine the distance pulse count with "adapter 2".

1 Measuring a test path with the aid of at light barrier (order no. 6511 0151 99)

2 Using the odometer 3328 from KWT with KWT intermediate plug (order no. 6511 0163 99)

3 Using a brake dynamometer

which can be connected to "adapter 2" via an interface, the RMK box (order no. 6511 0168 99).

The following accessory parts are available:

- Seal foil for installation plate (order no. A000 986 06 90)

- Seal plate for sticker in tachograph

(Order no. A617 584 03 38)

- Paper for test report with installation plate and sticker for speedometer (order no. B20.440.19.009.00.A)

 The "adapter 2" system is approved for TVI and MTCO tachographs in the meantime and is adapted permanently to new tachographs and provided with new functions.
